LOGiQ3 and msg global solutions joint venture to acquire Tindall Associates
Tindall Associates (TAI), the U.S. market leader in life reinsurance software and consulting services, is at the center of a new joint venture by msg global solutions – a Swiss-based provider of integrated technology and services to the insurance, reinsurance, and financial services industries – and LOGiQ3 Corp., a Toronto-based company that provides expert life insurance and reinsurance services. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Aviva Canada to launch overland water protection for homeowners
Aviva Canada has announced an industry first: overland water protection for residential property owners and tenants across Canada. The coverage – available as an endorsement to personal property insurance policies that have sewer back-up protection in place – will be launched first in Alberta and Ontario in May, and then rolled out to other provinces throughout 2015.

Chubb Insurance mobile app to complement broker marketing and service efforts
Chubb Insurance Company of Canada has introduced a new iPad app, Chubb Mobile, to facilitate marketing by brokers and to further enhance customer service. The easy-to-use app, also available in French, provides brokers with remote access to Chubb Personal Insurance marketing materials, customer information and quoting tools. The app also provides access to Chubb Canada's website and claims reporting information, and enables brokers to securely view and manage their customers' insurance portfolios.

Esurance announces expansion into Canada
Esurance, the company that provides self-directed consumers with a smart choice for auto insurance, has announced that it has expanded internationally into Canada. Consumers in the province of Alberta who prefer to shop for their insurance online are the first to enjoy the benefits of Esurance's modern-world approach to auto insurance.
FSCO: Canadian regulators seek public input on travel insurance
The Canadian Council of Insurance Regulators will make an examination of travel insurance one of its key priorities in 2015 and is seeking input from the public on how the business is conducted in Canada, chair Carolyn Rogers has announced.

Group insurance leader SSQ Financial Group is set to launch an exclusive new critical illness insurance product in March. The new product will feature three separate coverage options, making it the most generous, comprehensive, and flexible group insurance product available in Canada: Basic (6 illnesses), Complete (24 illnesses), and Total (40 illnesses). This will make SSQ Financial Group the only insurer in Canada to cover auto-immune diseases and 40 critical illnesses, in addition to requiring a survival period of just 14 days.
Petsecure extends hours to provide availability to customers seven days a week
Petsecure is now open to take your calls seven days a week. Piloted in January, and well-received by callers, the customer care centre will open on Sundays in addition to the regular hours Monday to Saturday. Petsecure is the first Canadian-owned pet health insurance company to open their call centre seven days a week.
