From Doug

Once in a great while, a technological innovation comes along that changes the world, and businesses have to adjust. Today it is AI – rapidly transforming workflows, driving innovation, and reshaping industries.

Artificial intelligence has changed consumer expectations, offering the promise of greater accuracy and reliability during the consumer journey, human-like conversations with chat bots, hyperpersonalized communications and promotions, and on-demand products and interactions tailored to individual needs.

Gen AI and agentic AI in particular can be game-changers.

As expected, the investment across the Canadian insurance industry varies business by business among brokers, MGAs, insurers and reinsurers, as well as services providers and technology vendors. Some lead the way, while others...

With new technologies, new InsurTech startups follow.

For instance, Brisc AI focuses on AI Agents which can reduce the time-consuming, pseudo-clerical work performed by many insurance professionals. They can also learn as they work in order to improve over time.

Although AI Agents apply to many process steps, Brisc is offering an opportunity to underwriters of property insurance to test the AI Agent using a live submission to see what comes back in 60 seconds.

If it applies to you, it could be worth a try.
